In August 2019, the six-month research and rehearsal period for the second part of the trilogy “Eine Stadt tanzt” (A City Dances) began.
Now it was time for: “Diva – Eine Stadt tanzt” (Diva – A City Dances).
This year, the focus was on the city of Saale. We embarked on a journey into the various neighborhoods of Halle. We ventured into the residential areas of the participants, seeking new perspectives on the overly familiar, exploring beauty and contrasts. The gray diva encounters the green city by the river. Along with us was a video camera, capturing cinematically the places that inspired the dancers. On stage, the film sequences became part of the choreography.
